Physical Preparation for End Time

Important Notes:

It's never too late to start preparing!
We do not prepare to expect calamities. We prepare so we can thrive.

Let's prepare from the place of joy, love and rest.

Though there are a lot of things that we can prepare, we need to practise hearing God's instruction.
Do not prepare for "just in case".

If God tells you to prepare certain things, obey with diligence.
If God tells you need not to prepare for anything physically, so be it.
God has unique plans for each of us as the body of Christ. Don't speculate and plan all on your own. You also don't need to compare and worry for "not preparing enough". As long as you obey God's instruction, you are enough.

If you find yourself in fear, talk to God to resolve this first before preparing.

Though the prep work may consume time, do not forget the relationship with God is the most important of all.
Do not forget to also prepare yourself spiritually for Jesus's return.

Till the 7th Trumpet

The day of Jesus’s second coming will happen at the last trumpet (the 7th trumpet), on the Day of Trumpet.
(Read more: How Jesus's second coming fulfils the prophetic meaning of Day of Trumpet)

On this day, the glory of the Lord will be revealed as the resurrection of the dead in Christ and the transformation of physical bodies to spiritual bodies happens.

1 Corinthians 15:51-54 (NASB1995)
51 Behold, I tell you a mystery; we will not all sleep, but we will all be changed, 52 in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye,
at the last trumpet; for the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed. 53 For this perishable must put on the imperishable, and this mortal must put on immortality. 54 But when this perishable will have put on the imperishable, and this mortal will have put on immortality, then will come about the saying that is written, “Death is swallowed up in victory.

1 Corinthians 15:42-44 (NASB1995)
42 So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown a perishable body, it is raised an imperishable body; 43 it is sown in dishonor, it is raised in glory; it is sown in weakness, it is raised in power; 44 it is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body. If there is a natural body, there is also a spiritual body.

We have to note that many people believe and advocate that "we don’t have to go through the tribulation, and will be directly rescued by rapture". From Scripture, we can clearly see that we are to stay till the last trumpet, the 7th trumpet.

In the Book of Revelation, there was a mention of those who come out of the great tribulation.

Revelation 7:13-14 (NASB1995)
13 Then one of the elders answered, saying to me, “These who are clothed in the white robes, who are they, and where have they come from?” 14 I said to him, “My lord, you know.” And he said to me, “These are the ones who come out of the great tribulation, and they have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.

Jesus also mentioned there will be tribulation right after the abomination of desolation, but those days will be cut short.

Though many said the tribulation will be 7 years, I support more the notion of 3.5 years, because Jesus Himself said the days will be shortened, and there are a lot of mentions of 3.5 years in the Book of Revelation and Book of Daniel.

Matthew 24:15-22 (NASB1995)
15 “Therefore when you see the abomination of desolation which was spoken of through Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place (let the reader understand), 16 then those who are in Judea must flee to the mountains. 17 Whoever is on the housetop must not go down to get the things out that are in his house. 18 Whoever is in the field must not turn back to get his cloak. 19 But woe to those who are pregnant and to those who are nursing babies in those days! 20 But pray that your flight will not be in the winter, or on a Sabbath. 21 For then there will be a great tribulation, such as has not occurred since the beginning of the world until now, nor ever will. 22 Unless those days had been cut short, no life would have been saved; but for the sake of the elect those days will be cut short.

Mark 13:14-20 (NASB1995)
14 “But when you see the abomination of desolation standing where it should not be (let the reader understand), then those who are in Judea must flee to the mountains. 15 The one who is on the housetop must not go down, or go in to get anything out of his house; 16 and the one who is in the field must not turn back to get his coat. 17 But woe to those who are pregnant and to those who are nursing babies in those days! 18 But pray that it may not happen in the winter. 19 For those days will be a time of tribulation such as has not occurred since the beginning of the creation which God created until now, and never will. 20 Unless the Lord had shortened those days, no life would have been saved; but for the sake of the elect, whom He chose, He shortened the days.

Daniel 7:25 (NASB1995)
He will speak out against the Most High and wear down the saints of the Highest One, and he will intend to make alterations in times and in law; and they will be given into his hand for a time, times, and half a time.

Daniel 12:7 (NASB1995)
7 I heard the man dressed in linen, who was above the waters of the river, as he raised his right hand and his left toward heaven, and swore by Him who lives forever that it would be for a time, times, and half a time; and as soon as they finish shattering the power of the holy people, all these events will be completed.

Revelation 12:14 (NASB1995)
But the two wings of the great eagle were given to the woman, so that she could fly into the wilderness to her place, where she was nourished for a time and times and half a time, from the presence of the serpent.

Since the Scripture gave us hints that we will be here till the last trumpet and will go through the tribulation, it would be wise for us to look at the Word and see what will happen before the last trumpet and the possible events that will happen during the tribulation.

Although no one can be 100% sure about the actual events that are going to take place, it is better for us to be prepared than not prepared. If we keep thinking “we are going to escape it”, we are living like the foolish who pays no attention to the watch of the hour.

We are to be overcomers.

Tribulation is the final period of time to awake people for repentance so they can be saved. Our God does not delight in tragedies and afflictions; He desires all to be saved and no one perish (2 Peter 3:9).

Wrath and tribulation are two different things for different purposes.

The term "tribulation" (Revelation 7:14, Matthew 24:29, Mark 13:24) in original Greek word is θλψις (Strong's 2347. thlipsis), meaning pressure, especially used to describe internal pressure that makes one feel restricted, like having "no choice."

This differs from the "calamity" (Deuteronomy 32:35) used to describe the day of God's wrath and vengeance. The word "calamity" in original Hebrew is אֵיד (Strong's 343. ed), meaning destruction. [The day of God’s wrath refers to the time when the 7 bowls of God’s wrath poured out after the last seventh trumpet (Revelation 16)]

Jesus referred to the turmoil before His return as birth pangs (Matthew 24:8, Mark 13:8). Just as childbirth brings new life through internal pressure, so too does the pressure of end-time tribulations bring life, and there will be a great harvest in the end of the age (Revelation 14:14-16).

War, Famine, Pestilence

Three of the seven seals in the Book of Revelation talked about war, famine and pestilence.

Revelation 6:3-8 (NASB1995)

3 When He broke the second seal, I heard the second living creature saying, “Come.” 4 And another, a red horse, went out; and to him who sat on it, it was granted to take peace from the earth, and that men would slay one another; and a great sword was given to him.

5 When He broke the third seal, I heard the third living creature saying, “Come.” I looked, and behold, a black horse; and he who sat on it had a pair of scales in his hand. 6 And I heard something like a voice in the center of the four living creatures saying, “A quart of wheat for a denarius, and three quarts of barley for a denarius; and do not damage the oil and the wine.

7 When the Lamb broke the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth living creature saying, “Come.” 8 I looked, and behold, an ashen horse; and he who sat on it had the name Death; and Hades was following with him. Authority was given to them over a fourth of the earth, to kill with sword and with famine and with pestilence and by the wild beasts of the earth.

Verse 6 mentioned a denarius for a quart of wheat and three quarts of barley. In biblical time, normally a quart of wheat only cost about 1/10 denarius. And a denarius is known as the usual daily wage. Verse 6 implied a ten-fold increase in price, indicating massive scarcity (from famine) and inflation.

Speculations of World War 3 from the letter of Albert Pike in 1871 has been surfacing around End-times preppers. The letter detailed the plans for three world wars for them to usher in the New World Order and bring out the doctrine of their god – Lucifer (Satan). The first two world wars already happened as the letter scripted.

Together with the wars that we see on our news every day, let us be watchful and pray against the evil plans.

Jesus already reminded us not to be afraid of hearing of wars and rumors of wars.

Matthew 24:6 (NASB1995)

You will be hearing of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not frightened, for those things must take place, but that is not yet the end.

Plagues

The first six trumpets in the Book of Revelation (Revelation 8, 9) talked about possible natural disasters and plagues that are related to demonic powers.

Mark of the Beast

The mark of the beast is one of the most discussed topics regarding the end-times.

Scripture said that there will come a time, people on the earth will be forced to worship the image of the beast (or else be killed), and receive a mark (or else cannot buy or sell).

Revelation 13:11-18 (NASB1995)

11 Then I saw another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb and he spoke as a dragon. 12 He exercises all the authority of the first beast in his presence. And he makes the earth and those who dwell in it to worship the first beast, whose fatal wound was healed. 13 He performs great signs, so that he even makes fire come down out of heaven to the earth in the presence of men. 14 And he deceives those who dwell on the earth because of the signs which it was given him to perform in the presence of the beast, telling those who dwell on the earth to make an image to the beast who *had the wound of the sword and has come to life. 15 And it was given to him to give breath to the image of the beast, so that the image of the beast would even speak and cause as many as do not worship the image of the beast to be killed. 16 And he causes all, the small and the great, and the rich and the poor, and the free men and the slaves, to be given a mark on their right hand or on their forehead, 17 and he provides that no one will be able to buy or to sell, except the one who has the mark, either the name of the beast or the number of his name. 18 Here is wisdom. Let him who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for the number is that of a man; and his number is six hundred and sixty-six.

For anyone who worship the beast and receive the mark, the person will be doomed for destruction.

Revelation 14:9-12 (NASB1995)

9 Then another angel, a third one, followed them, saying with a loud voice, “If anyone worships the beast and his image, and receives a mark on his forehead or on his hand, 10 he also will drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is mixed in full strength in the cup of His anger; and he will be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb. 11 And the smoke of their torment goes up forever and ever; they have no rest day and night, those who worship the beast and his image, and whoever receives the mark of his name.” 12 Here is the perseverance of the saints who keep the commandments of God and their faith in Jesus.

The devil is crooked. He could make such mark to be disguised as light and so people could be deceived to take it.

Jesus warned it will be like the days of Noah when He returns.

In the days of Noah, people engaged in immoralities that result in mixed genetics with the fallen angels. This provides us a glue that whatever thing that might possibly affect our genetics, it is already a huge red flag.

Scripture also warned us nations would be deceived by the sorcery of Babylon.

The original Greek of “sorcery” is φαρμακεία (Strong’s 5331. Pharmakeia) which means the use of drugs and medicine.

So stay alert. Inquire and confirm with the Lord before taking any vaccine, drugs or medicine. By all means, guard your genetics.

Matthew 24:37 (NASB1995)

For the coming of the Son of Man will be just like the days of Noah.

Revelation 18:23 (NASB1995)
and the light of a lamp will not shine in you any longer; and the voice of the bridegroom and bride will not be heard in you any longer; for your merchants were the great men of the earth, because all the nations were deceived by your
sorcery.

Possible Preparation

Barter

The important aspect of the “mark of the beast” is that people could no longer buy and sell without it.

Barter could come into place by that time. (no longer use money to trade goods, but goods exchange for goods)

Keeping solid gold or silver could be useful by then.

There is also a popular concept of living “off-grid” among people who wants greater freedom over their lives. You can search online and learn a lot about how to live in a self-sustain way.

You can ask God if there is anything that you can start collecting in life for barter later. It can be something cheap and easy to keep, e.g. soap bars!

Food Storage

Food storage is important for natural disasters, famine, global supply chain disruptions by pestilence and war, “mark of the beast” that restricts people to buy and sell.

Just like God gave Pharaoh the dream about famine, and so Joseph set up the warehouse in Egypt before famine hit the land (Genesis 41), God has been calling some individuals to set up the “Joseph’s warehouse” and different agricultural plans for the End-times.

God has also been leading some people to set up their own farm to grow their own food.

Technology for long-term food storage includes:

  • Aseptic sterilization (mostly use in military rations Meals-Ready-to-Eat, MRE)

  • Freeze-dried fruits and vegetables (storage up to 25 years ambient)

  • Canned food

  • Foods preserved in brine or vinegar

Water Storage
Water Filtration

In 2021, the Lord led me to set up the business Sufficient Alley to supply preparedness solutions, including Meals-Ready-To-Eat (MREs), 20-year shelf life high energy biscuits and freeze-dried fruits and vegetables. Currently, we welcome wholesale and import inquiries. If your company or organization is looking for these products, feel free to reach out to us.

Miracles

Some believers said that by that time, we can do miracles of food multiplication just like Elijah and Jesus.

I do believe in this.

However, Katie Souza gave a very good reminder in the below video that we need to learn how to make this happen – we need to practise that! (begins at around 10:00)

Katie Souza is a minister who witnessed and performed countless healing miracles. Instead of praying desperately to God by then to make miracles to happen, she shared we need to learn how to open heaven in our lives. Creating a realm of praise and thanksgiving and worship in our home is what allows open heaven.

Reminder:

There are a lot of things that we can prepare, we need to practise hearing God's instruction.
Do not prepare for "just in case".

Only follow God's instruction in preparing for the End-time. Obey with diligence.

If you find yourself in fear after reading all these, talk to God to resolve this first before preparing.
